or answers them well once it is there.

We are two founders, one of us technical, and we have just launched the Reflex Dev Kit. Reservations are open and the first boxes ship in order of reservation. The next six months are about getting kits into builders’ hands, answering them well, and writing down what they build. Every role here reports to the founder, has a named deliverable, and exists because something real needs doing. If you want to learn how a hardware product gets to its first hundred buyers, this is the place to watch it happen.

Why now

The product is settled and the next six months are execution: boxes out the door, buyers answered the same day, recipes published, the first lab teaching with a kit, and a record of what builders made with it. Interns are real roles with a real deliverable and the founder as mentor, not free labour.

Marketing - Intern, part-time

Marketing intern (developer content)

Turn the bench into public material.

  • Draft the weekly use-case recipe (driveway, garden, feeder, coop, warehouse zone) from the founder's notes
  • Cut bench footage into short clips; post to the Jetson developer forum, Hackster, YouTube, LinkedIn; keep the calendar
  • Deliverable at 90 days: 8 published recipes or posts and the Crowd Supply page draft, with a log of which brought reservations
  • 15-20 hours a week, 3-6 months, monthly stipend, equity-eligible after 3 months, remote

Sales - Intern, part-time

Sales intern (reservations and builders)

Own the reservation queue.

  • Reply to every reservation and inquiry within a day; sort maker, small robot or drone company, integrator, educator, defence evaluator
  • Keep the pipeline sheet; book founder calls only for the ones that warrant one; send a one-page pipeline every Friday
  • Deliverable at 90 days: a clean pipeline of every reservation with tier and next step, and 10 builder conversations booked
  • 15-20 hours a week, 3-6 months, monthly stipend, equity-eligible after 3 months, remote

Operations and fulfilment lead

Build the path from reservation to shipped box without the founder touching a box.

  • Source boards, cameras and cases; set up fulfilment; write the pack-out checklist; track inventory, returns, sales tax and shipping paperwork
  • Deliverable at 90 days: first 50 kits shipped on time with a written runbook anyone can follow
  • 10-20 hours a week growing with orders, hourly, equity-eligible, Salt Lake City preferred (the lab ships from there), remote later

Developer support engineer

Be the first person a kit buyer meets after the box.

  • Test the flash script on fresh boards; write the getting-started guide and FAQ; answer GitHub Discussions; run the weekly office hour
  • Turn repeated questions into docs or fixes for the founder
  • Deliverable at 90 days: a buyer goes from unboxing to two boards running and a first record in one sitting, following only the docs
  • 10-20 hours a week, hourly, equity-eligible, remote

Technical writer (starter recipes)

Write the five starter recipes as public repos.

  • Security second channel, farm and ranch, drone services, warehouse safety, wildlife and home: config, camera placement, the questions the owner answers, the record fields
  • Founder reviews every line
  • Deliverable at 90 days: five recipes published and used by at least one outside builder each
  • About 10 hours a week, hourly or per recipe, equity-eligible, remote

Community and education intern

Find the first lab and the first course that teach with a two-board kit.

  • Draft the course unit outline with the founder; moderate Discussions; collect and tag what buyers post
  • Deliverable at 90 days: one named lab or course using the kit (with permission) and a monthly community note
  • 10-15 hours a week, stipend, remote

Operator - Contractor to full-time

Chief of staff

Run the week so the founder spends his hours on the bench and on customer calls.

  • Calendar, pipeline, vendor list and interns; draft every outbound document for the founder's review; own program and marketplace admin
  • Deliverable at 90 days: nothing slips, and the founder's week is bench and customers
  • Part-time contractor to full-time, hourly to salary, meaningful early equity, Salt Lake City or Bay Area preferred

Include three or four sentences on why this role, a link to one thing you made (a post, a repo, a video, a spreadsheet, anything), and your availability and location. No cover letter; no resume needed for the intern roles. We reply to every application within a week.
